The beauty of rural Darjeeling






A lot of people have been to Darjeeling for their vacation but how many of them have really taken time to see the sorrounding towns and villages? Foget the 7 points and the sunrise (if you are lucky enough to see through the morning mist). Or for that matter, even the local residents of Darjeeling hardly venture to see the beauty of our sorrounding hills. The simplicity and charm of the local people, the greenery and freshness in the air, the bustling weekly "haat bazar", all adds up to a thrilling experience, one you can never imagine in our crowded towns.

I was lucky to visit Pokhriabong, Manju and Bungkulung last month. Here are some pics to feast your eyes on...
